Good food. Reasonably priced. Good service. Rarely busy on weekday afternoons.
This place has an aged, worn in feel, but not at all in a negative way. It's well maintained with its own personality. Reminds me of walking into a bar / restaurant in the U.P. The menu is diverse and reasonably priced. The service is excellent; friendly and efficient. The pizza was excellent. A great diversity of micro-brews, many of them Michigan-based. The cocktail menu is well thought-out; drinks for someone who takes a cocktail seriously. I'm sure the locals know this place well, but if you're not a local, it's worth a visit.
After reading the mixed reviews, my boyfriend and I threw caution to the wind and went on a Friday night at 9. We were so glad we tried it. There were only a few other patrons, the ambience is low key and friendly, the waitress was very attentive and genuinely sweet, and the food is all homemade and delicious. Even the mozzarella sticks are homemade. We both had the Bogartz burger - phenomenal. A hand-shaped thick patty on a perfectly toasted bun. Just the right amount of char and juiciness. Will definitely be back. Wish they had a pool table and live music.
Nice place. Friendly service. "Rick's American Cafe" atmosphere. Good selection of food. Do as we did and you might not have to pay for parking. Come as you are. Not crowded around 5:30.
This is a great neighborhood joint. Nice beer selection, always satisfying meals.
