The Second Annual LivFree Boos & Brews 5k is a Halloween themed event that starts at 10am of Sunday, October 27th, 2024 at the Fairfield Hills Campus in Newtown, CT. Proceeds of the event will go to LivFree, whose mission is to bring moments of joy to families battling pediatric cancer. The event features a USATF certified 5k course that meanders through the roads and paved trails on this historic campus. Runners and walkers are welcome of all abilities (dogs and strollers too).
This year we are still throwing our Post-Race Halloween Party at NewSylum Brewing Company, just up the road from the finish line. This is limited to the first 300 runners to sign up. Note, only registered runners will be allowed into the post-race event. If you aren’t into partying, we would still love for you to come and run/ walk, we will even discount your registration a bit.
Event Schedule:
8:00am - Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup Opens
9:45am - Report to Starting Line
10:00am - Scheduled Race Start
11:00am - Post-5k Events Begin:
NewSylum Post-Race Halloween Party opens for registered participants
Kids Trick or Treating in the driveway of the Shelton House
12:00pm - LivFree Boos and Brews 5k Events close - NewSylum Brewery Opens for business to the public and they want all participants to know that they can now come to the brewery for their regular business hours for the day.
