The Mullet Man Triathlon has proven to be a definite addition to the Annual Interstate Mullet Toss® and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party. This is our 26th Annual Mullet Man Triathlon!

This wonderful event is open to many categories and is great for family viewing or participation. Enjoy a day on the beach, in the water and the path.

Are there age groups & divisions

Age Groups:

15-19 • 20-24 • 25-29 

30-34 • 35-39 • 40-44

45-49 • 50-54 • 55-59  

60-64 • 65-69 • 70+

Divisions:

The Athena is for women weighing 145lbs or more. 

Two age divisions: 39 & under and 40+.

The Clydesdale is for men weighing 200lbs or more. 

Two age divisions: 39 & under and 40+.

The Super Clydesdale is for men weighing 225lbs or more. Must "weigh-in" at packet pick-up. 

Two age divisions: 39 & under and 40+.

Super Senior Clydesdales are age 55+.

The Fat Tire is for men and women riding a Fat Tire or Mountain Bike. 

Two age divisions: 39 & under and 40+.

The First Timers is for men and women first time triathletes who have never done a triathlon before. First Timers are also in age groups.

The course

You will begin with the swim portion for 1/4 mile in the Ole River behind the Flora-Bama Ole River Grill (wetsuits are optional). 

Then transition into the bike segment at the Flora-Bama's North Parking Lot (in front of the Ole River Grill). Our course will be 16.5 miles and will begin at the Ole River Grill headed West to Alabama, go underneath the Perdido Pass Bridge, then back East into Florida on Perdido Key Dr. Cyclists will follow the road and make a left onto River Road and follow underneath the Theo Baars Bridge and will return onto Perdido Key Drive. Follow Perdido Key Dr. West and arrive back at the Ole River Grill. Bike Helmets are required & participants must walk their bikes through the transition area.

Participants will then transition for the 3.9 mile run at the Ole River Grill, head West into Alabama, turn around under the Perdido Pass Bridge, and finish back right in front of the Flora-Bama on the South side of Perdido Key Drive.
