Don’t drop the ball this New Year’s Day! Start 2025 off on the right foot by focusing on your health with the First Run 5K & 10K on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Ring in the New Year in Lowell, Massachusetts with runners and walkers alike on 5K or 10K course options. While the rest of the world will be sleeping off the champagne, you’ll be starting off the new year with fellowship, fitness, cozy swag, and an epic post-race party including one free game of bowling!
Score Big at the Post Race Party
Score your first strike of the year at the post-race party! All First Run 5K & 10K participants are allowed one FREE game of bowling between the hours of 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Bowlero Lowell. To add a little New Year’s fun, there will be light snacks & drinks for 21+ runners to enjoy!

2024 registrants received a cozy full-zip hoodie to keep them warm on race day. PLUS to help show off your very first new year’s resolution, you’ll take home a New Year’s themed finishers medal—all included in the price of your registration!
Awards
For both the 5K and 10K, awards with be given to the top three overall male and female runners and to the overall male and females winners in each age group: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There will not be an awards ceremony or tent at the event. ALL awards will be mailed out to division winners after the event!
