This is one of my favorite places in Springfield. It is not just a BBQ place but a smoked meat place. You can add up to 7 different flavors of BBQ sauce to your meats. I am partial to #5 the sweet heavy or the Volcano sauce (behind the counter). All of the meats here are good and the sides are great. You can not go away hungry.
Good for lunch special, but pricy for dinner. Suggest smaller portions for seniors; discount for repeated visits. I really enjoy the pulled pork sandwiches. Easy access and egress to I-44. Ample free parking in front. Not to be recommended yet.
The food was really good authentic BBQ. I would come back in a heartbeat. The staff was very friendly and helped us out tremendously as it was our first time there. I have nothing negative to say about it. The sauces were very delicious and there are a lot to choose from. The atmosphere was family oriented just enough but also felt like you were in a time machine to BBQ nation. The Coke freestyle machine was a nice touch and very accessible as a lot of different sodas were offered. I was very happy with the pricing as well.
Excellent. No where close to the best but still worth the money. I had a half rack. Everything would’ve been perfect but parts of the ribs were a little hard and stringy. That means they may have been cooked too fast at the beginning.
I think this is the best BBQ we have tried in Springfield. Moved here two years ago from California. My husband is great smoker and makes mean brisket and ribs, so we are picky. I also find the sides often lacking at these places, but all was delicious. Will definitely visit again and it will be our go to when family is visiting from out of town!
