Merrimack's 4th of July Celebration: Merrimack Sparkler 5K

25th Annual Sparkler 5K Road Race

Organized by the Merrimack Road Runners Boosters Club

The Sparkler 5K is held every 4th of July as a holiday tradition for many families. The course starts and ends on the track at the Merrimack High School in Merrimack, NH. The race starts at 8 am, followed by light refreshments and awards. Preceding the race, there is a kids race on the track.

The Sparkler 5K Run/Walk is held every year on the 4th of July with all profits benefiting the Merrimack High and Middle School Track and Cross Country programs.

IN-PERSON: July 4, 2022 and VIRTUAL RACE: June 27 - July 4, 2022

Start Time:

Kids Fun Run: 7:40 am

- Free to all runners
- Starts at 7:40 am on the high school track
- Ages 7 and under: 200 meters on the track (half a lap)
- Ages 8 and up: 400 meters on the track (full lap)
- No registration required
- All participants will receive a finisher's medal!

5K: 8:00 am

Course Description:

- Start on high school track, two laps of McElwain St, Baboosic Lake Rd, O'Gara Dr, finish on track, flat and fast!
